The Tree of Life is my original solo dance composition. Created mid last year, it has evolved through different stages of emotional and movement discovery over the course of a few rehearsals and performances. Even it's costume has grown bit by bit!
While the dance centres around the life of a tree, I believe that its story reflects some emotions that we can all relate to as human beings.
The dance is set to the Avatar soundtrack music, The Bioluminescence of the Night which runs for 3 and a half minutes. The movements are 3 dimensional while it is danced in stationary.
I am currently working on the second part of the dance and I hope to be able to share this dance with you.
